2012: The True Mayan Prophecy shows March 3
It’s probably safe to say that your worldly possessions won’t be destroyed in an apocalypse on December 21, 2012 (659 days from this publication date, if you weren’t counting), as professed by conspiracy theorists cashing in on the end of the Mayan calendar.

HUNDREDS of people have signed up to book a place in Britain’s first underground nuclear bunker, as a growing number fear the world will end as early as next year. Secret shelter will have filtered air, its own water supply and a prison in case of unrest in post-Armageddon Britain.
Mayan marvels
It’s official. You can stop worrying. The world will not end on December 21, 2012. It seems that some ill-informed woo-woo pundits got hold of the Mayan prophecies and got them all wrong. How do I know this? Because I’m standing in the jungle ruins of Tikal in northern Guatemala, a Unesco World Heritage site, the largest protected area in Central America, where once a mighty Maya kingdom held sway, as Miguel, our Mayan guide and respected shaman, puts the record straight.

The End of the World?
December 21, 2012 has been said to be the last day of the world. Although many people believe this prediction, I do not agree that this will be the last day. According to the ancient Mayan Calendars, the 21st of December (or the 23rd), marks the end of a 5,125 year period which will ultimately end humanity.
The world ends on April 20
After a careful perusal of Revelations, it was revealed unto me that the world will end on April 20, 2011. If a mere 10,000 true believers sent me twenty-five bucks, I would be happy to drop them a postcard on April 21 from a sun-drenched beach in the Caribbean with a newly revised date which I would cheerfully share with them.
Apocalypse sooner or later
The solar system will swing into alignment with the midpoint of the Milky Way, precipitating tsunamis, the cracking of continental shelves, the shifting of the magnetic poles, solar flares and other cosmic mayhem not recorded since the planetary upheavals that rendered the dinosaur extinct.

Some people say that the world will end in 2012, and some say it won’t, but the truth is no one really knows.
